Picup Driver Application: How to Apply

Picup takes applications only in its own Android app. Here is the order, and the step that has nothing to do with your paperwork.

You apply in the Picup Driver App. Picup's website has no driver section.

Detail

The order

  1. Install the app. Picup Driver App, on Google Play, Android only.
  2. Register. Tap BECOME A LEGEND. Name, phone number, email address, a new password.
  3. Upload. Your ID document, driving licence, proof of address, proof of banking, vehicle licence, third party insurance, a photograph of yourself and one of your vehicle. Add an asylum seeker document, work permit or visa if you are not a South African citizen.
  4. Sign the carrier agreement. Initial every page.
  5. Complete the New Driver Registration form and name your delivery area.
  6. Training and the test. Book on the live chat.
  7. Vehicle assessment. DEKRA or Tyger Wheel and Tyre, quoting 791548. Upload the report.
  8. Activation. Ask the live chat.

The step that is not about you

Picup trains you only if it needs more drivers in your area. Every other step is paperwork you control. Ask the live chat how your area looks before you pay for the assessment.

Before you start

Photograph everything in good light. The uploads are the slow part.

Picup runs support on the live chat in the app. Check anything there before you spend money.
