Identity

South African ID Required. The form's identity options are an SA green ID book, an SA ID card, an SA passport or another country's passport.

South African passport Accepted. Listed as an identity option.

Immigration status

Foreign passport Accepted. “Other Passport” is one of the four identity options. A non-South African citizen also has to photograph a work permit or asylum document, so the passport is not accepted on its own.

Work permit or visa allowing work Accepted. The form asks non-South African citizens for a work permit or an asylum document.

Asylum-seeker permit (section 22) Accepted. The form asks non-citizens for a work permit or an asylum document, so an asylum document can stand in place of a work permit.

Refugee status document (section 24) Not confirmed. A refugee status document is not named on the form. It says “work permit or asylum document”, and does not say whether a section 24 refugee document counts.

Driving

South African driving licence Required. Front and back.

International driving permit Not confirmed. Not on the form. Only a 2024 news report said it is accepted from foreign nationals. The company does not say it.

Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) Not confirmed. Not mentioned. A permit endorsed on a South African driving licence for certain professional driving.

Vehicle

Vehicle registration papers Required. The vehicle licence disc.

Roadworthy certificate Not confirmed. Not mentioned.

Vehicle insurance Not confirmed

Other

Proof of address Required. A document showing your name and permanent address.

Police clearance / background check Sometimes. You consent to a check rather than supplying a certificate.
