The main points: you must be at least 18, no professional driving permit is listed anywhere, and the licence and identity documents Uber Eats names are wider than anyone else's here.
Detail
Licence
For a motorbike: a South African Code A or A1 licence, a South African Code 1 learner's licence, a South African temporary licence, or an International Driving Permit. For a car: Code B, C, EB or EC, a temporary licence, or an International Driving Permit.
Identity
A South African identity book or card, a South African passport, a non-South African passport with a permit, an asylum seeker or refugee permit, or a refugee ID.
Vehicle inspection
You need a DEKRA inspection report before your account is activated. Quote OT-123 for a motorcycle or OT-125 for a car.
Where
The courier sign-up names 22 places. Some use older names: Grahamstown for Makhanda, Port Elizabeth for Gqeberha, and both Nelspruit and Mbombela for the same city. Johannesburg and Pretoria are one entry, and Ladysmith is grouped with Phuthaditjhaba.
Equipment
An insulated Uber Eats delivery bag. Uber tells you when and where to buy it. Motorbike riders also need a top box of about 68cm by 53cm by 42cm that closes, fits a large pizza box, holds the Uber Eats bag, and is fixed to the bike.
